Refugee Housing Needed
We are searching for housing for the more than 17,000 refugees that have made it to Chicago. We have have housed and are looking for housing for 100's of families. We are working with different charity organizations to house people as we can. The demand far exceeds the supply.
What we are seeing most often is rent is paid for 6 months, with 3 months up front, there is most likely going to be additional funds on the back end. The process from start to finish takes about 3 weeks. Many people already have jobs. You're still able to vet the tenants, we're simply looking for available units anywhere in the city/near suburbs and landlords that will participate. We are being mostly sent women with children or whole families. This is a rapidly changing situation, we're happy to answer any questions.
There really is no need for an apartment to sitting empty with all the funding flying around. We have an opportunity to really make an impact on their lives and make money. Thats a win/win.
