Rogers Park is the first of Chicago's 77 community areas with a population of 56,941. Located 9 miles from the Loop, it is on the city's far north side on the shore of Lake Michigan. It is in Cook County and is one of the best places to live in Illinois. Living in Rogers Park offers residents a dense urban feel. In Rogers Park there are a lot of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. This far north side neighborhood is also one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Chicago, both in terms of ethnicity and age.
